Pretty much the reason why I do everything that I can myself. Last two professionals jobs I had done (from supposedly recognised and recommended companies), cost me over 3 grand in total and needed completely re-doing from scratch. At least when I muck it up I only have myself to blame.
I don't believe people want a quality job, they want it cheap and fast - which leads to an industry and culture that is geared towards scraping through with the minimal effort and expenditure required to complete the task. Unless you can find a niche that allows you to maintain a quality that people are prepared to pay for, you can't compete.
Couple this with a drive towards a society that glorifies and rewards fortune and fame for negligible talent, completely devalues skill and hard work.
Laziness, cost cutting and a race to the bottom, not the combination for success in anything methinks.
