Ok, so I am really a novice, been welding for 3 months as a part time hobby, trying to make cool sculptures. Here's my latest piece ...
Anyway, I'm getting there, learning loads (thanks in no small part to this excellent forum) but ... I'm really unaware of the types of tools I can use to tidy things up. That piece for example, there are a few messy welds in hard to reach areas. The sculpting (on the hands for example) i've done with largely a diamond cutting disc in a dremel. Its not ideal and whilst the results arent bad, they could be better ... so my question is ...
Q) what kinds of attachments can i get for a dremel that are going to enable me to get to the hard to reach areas. I've read a little about carbide burrs so I was thinknig about something like that, something with finer points. What do you think? is this the sort of thing i'm looking for?
Also if ive ground a weld down flush but you can obviously see the change from welded area to non welded area ... what do you guys use to blend that to a seamless transition? Just finer and finer sand papers on a dremel kinda thing?
Thanks for you help
