I'm in a bit of a quandry, I want to respray a tractor, would prefer to use the manufacturer's own cellulose paint that comes in 1 litre tins, the colour match will be spot on (and there's no paint code for it).........however I find that the last time i did this I always seem to have problems with the paint hardening and sticking, on some articles the paint was peeling off when the pressure washer went near it.
Someone suggested adding a hardener to the paint, but reckons this turn it in to a toxicity level of 2 pack.
Now I had thought about trying to get the paint matched (I am very fussy about the exact colour) and going down the 2 pack route, I understand it dries in about 20 mins and is a more durable finish, but I have read/heard about the dangers and from what i have seen would need significant investment in air-fed breathing apparatus.
Anyone else been faced with this decision and what did you do?
