I used to use green / yellow earth sleeving
Its a long time since green only went out.
Never used sleeving for boot-laces, but it has kept my trousers up more than once

Very odd.Odd. I was about to start a similar thread.
I got a set like that from Arco. Well actually I had two pairs and told them to keep the third pair and give me my money back when they obviously had the same problem straight out of the box that the other two had. Can't say I was too disappointed as I still couldn't remove them by just undoing the zip.

They do need to bed in - then they're brilliant for speed of putting them on and taking 'em off.
So I am not the only one that found I had bought enough to wire 25 sockets a day for the rest of my life !I used to use green earth sleeving
But it was still cheaper than one metre from BnQ wasn't it? I've got a similar amount of red sleeving too . . .So I am not the only one that found I had bought enough to wire 25 sockets a day for the rest of my life !

I still have a few metres of red in the van, for identifying switch wires in older installations. Plus, it is handy if you run out of green / yellow and yer breech are falling downbin it its brown now
no the colours changed when cables were harmoniseduntil 19th edition, or part Q comes out...
Some probably thought it meant something, like a secret dress code.
While others.......
same here and thats due to i really pull the lace tight on the boot
i find once they cut through the outer braided layer they just come apart the last laces i bought was 4.00 and they still cut through the same
Only alternative i can see is thin braided rope
