Well decided to wire in new main 1.5kw motor.....bugger the pixies in the 2.2kw inverter escaped. Labeled as yr1 and yr2 , look like resistors. Totally fried .
Its an xsy-at1 rated at 2.2 kw . Bit baffled as to why its blown as the motor was just sat on the bench. Getting the motor checked by sparky at work and have ordered some 220 ohm 3 watt resistors which i thi k these were. Its kinda weird.
Yes it is. If it's a 240 volt single phase to 240 volt 3 phase inverter then the motor needs to be wired in delta. That's what springs to mind straight away. That shouldn't have blown it though. Kind of strange as you say because most vfd's worth their salt have big overload capacity and protection.
Thinking some more (can't sleep because the ship is moving too much). That pcb looks like a switch mode power supply to me. So it could be that your motor is fine and those resistors blowing is a fault unrelated to the motor. Looks like that pcb may supply power to other boards within the unit.
