Hi all,
So last year just before turning 50 I passed my bike test and bought z100sx. Always had a thing for cars and restored a VW Type 2 about 20 years ago. At the time I taught myself to mig and was well pleased with the result. So 20 years down the line I feel I need a new project but not a car, hence bike. Also acquired a 1979 XS650 US Import with only 5000 miles on the clock. Was going to hard tail it but probably won’t now. So gonna rebuild the bike and would like to have a go at making a chopper frame.
Not sure if this is the right section but my question is should I buy a TIG or MIG? I have no time constraints to learning and think TIG is probably the way to go for a motor bike frame but would like opinions.
I have been reasoning that I can (hopefully) pick MIG up and be productive quicker. However should I just take my time and go with TIG.
