Evening all, I've been doing some welding today with little success in getting any decent results. I've just taken delivery of some 2.5mm overcord E 6013 rods which I like and are great for striking up nice and easily (previously used Fincord M 6013s but way to expensive for my needs/skill, or lack of).
It's approx 3mm steel sheet/plate with a piece of 6mm angle iron (bottom piece on the pic) that I was trying to join it to. The lip is horizontal everything else is vertical.
Running at 80 amps AC. I was trying to keep the arc tight as this helps me get good results usually but no joy today. I tried to slow down but the arc/slag would come around the front of the rod (the rod would then be pushing the pool instead of leaving it behind).
