so some might remember the torch i advertised a little while back.
some recommended to keep it and use it. with an adaptor.
good idea i thought.... nice and light compared to the wp26.
well i got an parweld adaptor and
the gas connection nut is a different size.
i guess once you find out what thread it is.
a tail change would be easy ish...
next it pushes into the tig but doesn't turn and lock.
viewing both ends together you can see why.
new adaptor is at the back.
i guess a file would sort this issue.
so i try to screw the torch on..
and it just wont screw on...
vernier comes out.
so its clear that the nut on the end of this torch isn't 3/8"
hence the reason why it wont fit..
i guess the manufacturer of this torch and tig it came from.
decided to make it a non standard 3/8 fitment.
so you had to buy there torches...
wouldn't of known all this if i didn't decide to keep it and buy the adaptor.
now to ask my mate who gave me it. what brand tig it was.
if he can remember. as the tig unit got roasted in a garage fire.
