Hi Guys,
Sure someone will have experience of this.
I’m doing an installation, a fourth set of access ladders, on the Thames Estuary.
Done three sets a number of years ago, and had a quote done by a paint company for specialist marine paint.
Can’t remember what it was but I think it may have been a 2 pack epoxy.
Anyway client didn’t go for it so we left them in Zinc phosphate Grey Primer. Believe it or not this is holding up pretty well (can’t say the same for the galvanised bolts. Galvanic corrosion possibly?)
They didnt want to pay for galvanising back then but will give them the option once again.
Material is just S275 steel flat bar and round bar.
Can anyone recommend a good quality paint to withstand moving tide, salt water and some wear resistance against people climbing up and down (low frequency).
Single application would be ideal as it is time and budget sensitive.
Currently looking at Jotun.
Maybe @Hood or @MichaelV can help?
