In the garage there is a fairly large, home-made bandsaw, of the "wood cutting" stand up type. I bought it years back from the homeworkshop.org.uk list.
It's got a reasonable sized throat, it'll never be as good as a horizontal BS, but it's what's there for now. There is an old Rapidor powerhacksaw (somewhere).
My question is: how slow do I need it to run to cut metal? There's speed change pulleys underneath, so I could change them for different ones.
Also: what's the best blade to get? Obviously wood cutting ones won't do.
Cheers
