Sorry .. gonna have to scrap that idea... just had a measure of the liners and i can see why they didnt want to do the job... the liners are incorrect for the job.. first time i have unpacked them since getting them from the the machine shop that supplied them.. and i can see that the liner is incorrect for the job.. i will try to sell these or scrap them and try to locate a different liner. maybe i will have to have a set made..
Issue is that the original liners have a greater wall thickness than the new liners.. original is 3mm thick on the thinnest part that locates in the block and 8mm total wall thickness leaving a 5mm wall to sit on the block.. new liners only have a 6mm wall so i,m not sure 3mm in thick enough to sit on the block or if it will be thick enough in the engine.. normally i would like to go thicker.. but 2mm thinner seems a stretch to far. sorry all for wasting your time. back to the drawing board
