Along with fixing an L200 with a snapped leaf spring, a leaky steering box and a corroded exhaust system - I’m also stripping out a very poorly fitted “day van” conversion on my Vito.
A new floor, insulation, seats, table, etc..
Problem lies with the previous owner spray gluing carpet and/or vinyl to EVERYTHING, now, removing the carpet and vinyl is straight forward enough as it’s been done poorly so it’s lifting in most places anyway. Removing the remaining glue residue however is a process I’m looking to speed up a little.
I’ve used a bit of De-Solv-It Sticky Stuff Remover, but it works out at £16 a litre, and there’s plenty to do.
I’ve had a look at Black Diamond, AutoSmart Tardis and EvoStik 191, but I really don’t know what would work best - so has anyone out there got real world experience with such products?
