I'll be ordering some potentially custom SS bits for the utility and kitchen soon so thought I would gen up first
In the utility we want a double drainer with one big sink in the middle, about 1800 wide with enough room for a standard washing machine and dryer either side of the sink. I've been looking at second hand catering sinks and some come close, we don't need the legs, just the top. However they are never quite the right size and/or look like they have gone 10 rounds with a lump hammer. I have found a place that do have very customisable sizes so I may be able to order a new one, won't be cheap though and I will still have to throw the legs away (or find another use for them )
In the kitchen the missus wants a smaller SS inset sink (or two) two one side of a custom size large corner SS work top, it's well out of square. We will probably buy the inset sink(s) and get the worktop cut/folded/welded to size.
So the questions are, what grade/finish of SS to ask for, especially for the custom work top, scratch resistance is probably more important than corrosion resistance, we are a way from the sea up in the Pennines
Cheers
