Hi
Been a lurker on here for a while, to see what the craic was and see how friendly you lot are..
Well.. seems you aint half bad :-)
Been messing about sticking bits of metal together for a few years as hobbyist, mainly out of practicality and because i can fanny about making silly brackets without pestering some poor chap down the road etc... any heavy/critical stuff I get a professional to do, coz last thing I need is a big lump of metal falling off in the road etc....
I bought a Sealey mightymig (90 I think) many years ago.. (20 years!!) which has done the job but is very tired now and I cant see the point in spending a load of money on it tidying it up.. its also been a bit random.. I sometimes get a decent weld.. and other times I dont.. I always try and prep stuff best i can too..
So.. Am in the market for a new machine as the next project I need to rebuild will require a dose of tinworm removal....
I shall prob make a post in the "looking for a new machine" section in any case.. And hopefully be able to report back when I get it and use it in anger... time is my biggest enemy and I dont expect to have a lot of time until end of March in reality...
Anyway.. Hope I dont ask too many daft questions..
Cheers
Si
