Good decision, excellent bit of kit.
The local tool store had them in when they first came out, about 4-5yrs ago, they were even more impressive then

how do u stick that on your head with duct tapeThis is a cracking deal for a proper head torch, none of that petzl/Lenser tat. This thing has serious power and supplies a great tint, not the overly blue LEDs that you get with cheaper makes.

It will mean waiting for the slow boat unfortunately.

Well I'm disappointed at the reliability of the LED Lenser, after 7 years regular use at work, the switch has become intermittent
I'll be replacing it with the re-chargeable version next week
I have a couple of led lenzers one small one for work and the larger one for the pushbike. had them yearsWell I'm disappointed at the reliability of the LED Lenser, after 7 years regular use at work, the switch has become intermittent

I've got one of those led lenser things and as you said the light output and control is very good. Mine is a few years old and has 3 x aaa cells in it. It eats them in no time, I always seem to be re charging them.
or get some spare sets of aaa batteries so that you always have charged and ready to go.
