Agreed. Good when it comes pros but nightmare when you have to deal with customer serviceTalk talk are great when it works, and you're staying.
It's when you have problems, or want to leave.
I've been with plusnet for 15+ years - at least - and never had a problem that hasn't been resolved.
The worst issue I ever had was a fault (somewhere) that caused my internet to fail.
They emailed me with updates.
I had to make a special trip into work to login to their support forum and complain that because they'd emailed me instructions how to resolve a problem (think it was when they changed login details for broadband, and I had to update firmware on the router).
Within a month, they changed their procedures company wide so that they sent text message updates as well as emails.
THAT is how I like companies to resolve problems, not back and forth on "support lines " with barely literate, incomprehensible 3rd world call centres who can't deviate from a script.
Talk talk are dire....the speeds are no where near what they claim and my son switched to virgin from talk talk they were that bad.talk talk is one of the ones i been thinking about near every internet provider has people that say they are rubish my virgin i have to keep turning it off every 2or 3 weeks as the laptops or phones cant see the network virgin are not doing anything about it
please sir can you turn your router off and then on again me yes already done that i been building pcs for 25 years and used to install networks foe a living i think i can truble shoot a router its still doing the same and lets not talk about the problems we had when we moved in 6 calls in 4 weeks untill they sent an older enginer out and found something in the main box that seamed to sort it
i understand wifi is not perfect and will put up with some things but when i now paying near 55 a month i expect a good service if im paying £30 for the same i expect nigles
if i buy a 10 year old car i expect a little work for the mot if i buy a new car i expect it to drive fine for a few years with no problems
and yes the old bt line has not been used for some time thats why i need to be carefull of who i chouse to go with as some willl install the new line if you connect with them
Virgin without question....never been without a phone line and broad band is unbeatable.ok vote time
add your to the list whats your favarite
Yes, Zen Internet.
That's £12 dearer than our TalkTalk package ( which we have had no problems with) for the same speed, 17mbps which is what we actually receive according to speed test. Only difference is we don't get a static IP address but it's not something we need.

With the greatest of respect, if you are buying solely on cheapness rather than value for money, then you are prime TalkTalk fodder. ;-)
Ask to speak to a manager....then if you dont get anywhere ask to speak to the disconnecting department.paying £55 for a service that i need to fix every few weeks is got good service yes as i said if i was paying £30/35 i would put up with it
but if i phone to ask to have the deals they advertise on the internet i get sorry i cant match that i ask why not our next door might have that deal why cant i recive the same thing
oh thats the deal for a new customer oh i see so instead of trying to keep a loyal customer of 20 years you want me to pay to reduce my nextdoor internet that you provide internet for them for the next x months thay might pay for only 3months of internet then phone to say they are having problems paying and ask to go a reduced cost then still not pay that you then send 3 letters asking for the money then go to the courts they see it in your faver and they still dont pay you then send in the balifs they knock on the door and the person has moved from the rented property rather than provide a service to a person that has never not paid for the bill in there life
oh forgot to add most banks and energy companys are cheaking your on the best deal possable for you guaranting you the best deal possable old hat idea keep your good paying customers and add new costomers when you can that way proffts go up and not down

With even more respect if I'm paying £12 less for the same result and not having problems I can live with that. My wife gets their free phone sim as well. She's just found the paperwork and we've been with them 8 years as of October not 6.
