Hiya.
I've bought a used 2 post 4000kgs lift.
It is the type with the beam at the top connecting the two posts.
I want to install it in my unit. The landlord is saying it's about 6-8 inch thick reinforced concrete.
I will be fairly close to a join by 2-3 feet.
I'm thinking of using a rectangle box section or RSJ alongside the two feet so that there is a bit of help on the weight behind and in front of the ramp.
Here is a link to the ramp:
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332394367709
I just want to be on the safer side really and 2 rsj or whatever to make my own H frame.
Just wondered if anyone had any idea on how thick the metal section/rsj should be?
Like I said it's just an addition!
The ramp will be M18 ancorbolted in with epoxy resin on the anchors!
