Hello all,
I'm in the process of rebuilding an old (1970's) Atlas crane. All the rams required rebuilding, and the slew is seized.
Here it is the Austin k9 it came with (which is also a project...)
The crane was cut off
New ram rods purchased and machined
And slew ram fitted
And tested using a powerpack at 150bar...and the slew still wont budge! Does anyone have any experience with these? I cant see anything holding the slew, but it also looks there is no slew bearing, just a tube inside a tube type arrangement with a single grease nipple.
Any help appreciated. matt
