In fact, many more expensive machines do not have anything like the level of features offered with the Portamig. And no, they are not made in the Far East, but right here in England!

Features include:

• High quality Swedish made wire feed motor – hugely superior to competitive offerings at this price level; ensures precise wire delivery - critical with the MIG welding process.
• Unique, ultra-low minimum setting of just 15 Amps! the lowest available from conventional transformer based machines, half that of most others, so outstanding on very thin materials such as car bodywork.
• 12 Voltage settings for very fine power adjustment & wire speed automatically adjusted to the voltage setting, giving a semi-synergic control. Burn-Back is built-in and optimised for all settings.
• Fully copper wound transformers give a much better operating Duty Cycle than most others at this price level, and are protected with a 5 year warranty.
• 2.5mm powder coated chassis will accept full size industrial gas cylinders & withstand abuse in a professional workshop environment.

A professional euro-torch connection is of course provided as standard, and a high quality torch is supplied in the package.

You will need a refillable Argonmix gas supply and wire to be up and running. 15kg size industrial wire spools will fit as standard, for 5kg medium size spools you will need an adaptor kit.

Technical Specification:

All models can be used from a standard 13 amp household electric supply up to around 150 Amps (4-5mm mild steel), above that you will need a heavier duty electric supply as outlined in the specifications.
