That RSJ resting on timber wouldn't pass building control, not saying its wrong, but i've seen these fail in the past, its all down to fire and rot etc
It should have either pad stone or be bricked up to the RSJ
Plus if i may add it should also be cladded in plasterboard fire issues.........................................but then again its a shed afterall
what is EPDM and how big is that damn shed. LolBeen busy sorting out a new roof and structure to workshop, also re-done electrics. On with fitting it out now 9more to follow
Roof EPDM membrane
Looks a great job... But ime entitled to nit pik here cos its my game
,your going to regret not going for a "warm roof void" = PUR boards on top of the ply before the rubber thus still retaining inside space and no condensing on the underside of your boards in winter, right by your tools too

Yep indeed,we all have to abide by the big fat book...........now and againThat's the rub isn't it when you work off silly books that keep changing to correct the mistakes you keep making
May i ask in pic 6 is that RSJ end actually going into the brick work, cant see from the photo but it looks like it doesn't and it being supported from brackets from the roof joists
If i'm wrong by all means kick my backside, its just i cant see any make good etc
I'd hate to have piece of large board or box section and accidently hit those tools as I pass under em....can't stand having a screwdriver/file/snips sticking out of me head.....it hurts.
