This is it though, within range. Hugh temp tegs are expensive so cheaper fans use tegs rated far closer to the range they are used at. Cheap fans will overheat and melt the tegs internal connections way sooner than mkre expensive ones.Tegs have an incredibly long lifespan. 300,000 hours is pretty much standard, even on cheap ones. Failures are usually due to getting the cables too hot then they melt the connecting solder. If something stopped the fan turning then the heat sink wouldn't dissipate the heat fast enough and that would kill it. Eventually motor bearings would wear out I suppose and Eventually stop the motor, etc etc. , but as long as the TEG is run within its operating range, it's pretty much indestructible.
The also fans though seem fantastic for the money.
