I've got quite a bit of electrical work to do round the place and up to now I have always just used diagonal cutters to strip the cores of T&E. What type of stripper do you sparks use?
Thanks.
Thanks.
note he doesn't want to use side cuttersI have a pair of these and they are excellent.

there only good for the individual core insulation removal

id have never of known that only been doing it for 45 years the only side cutters I use are knipex .the.snips with the recess in blades are totally useless on multicored flexThey have stripper cutouts in the jaws for 1.5 and 2.5mm cable so you are not really using the side cutters for stripping.
Cut the cable down the middle with the snips, grip the cpc with the snips, pull the cpc out thereby splitting the outside insulation, pull the conductors out, snip the loose insulation and then use the stripping cutouts to bare the conductors. Everything you need to finish the end of a length of t&e in one tool.
