hi ive just got a clarke 151EN and had my first go at a bit of welding today.
however i seem to be having a little problem, every time i strike an arc the wire seems to be burning back very quickly into the swan neck. i tried turning up the wire speed and that seemed to work a bit but not completely.
however when i dismantled the swan neck the shroud unscrewed along with the tip so i think these have become welded together. i take it i'll need to replace these?
also the swan neck liner looked a little on the loose side, is it supposed to be like that or does this want swapping over to?
i plan on doing a full service on the mig and convert it over to gas in the next few weeks so i was planning on changing these parts anyway.
