am i right in thinking that most remote wire feeds operate on 42v AC ?
the engie drive i've aquired supports 110v AC and 42v AC for wire feeder. i've just rouded up a butters wire feed unit i don't know much about but it's a WF 500-4, i'm guessing it's good for 500 amps and it's 4 roll ( i've checked that and it is. what i don't know is what voltage to feed it. if they run on 42v AC thats brilliant i'll just work out the connections and jobs a goodun, if not i'm thinking i'll use the 110v option on welder and mount relivant transformers in the wire feed.
if anyone knows where i chould aquire a manual from that would be awsome or just the voltage it needs would be great
