Went to survey a job today, quick look at the leccy box and saw this

Looking at the size of the incoming it was live 3 phase

Big garden with rear access, wonder if it’s for sale and how big a “shed” I could build?

My brother has 3 phase incoming to his house, he has a massive garage at the back of the garden, but sadly no interest in machinery. It's full of his wife's art stuff

I have a 3p feed. When funds allow I'll do something about it. In the garage too. Only downside. I'm renting and know the place is sold in 8 years. Makes it hard work looking for somewhere else with 3p if I swap out my motors.

Looking at that cable that may not be 3 phase, I’ve seen shared supplies using 3 phase cutouts and they are all linked to 1 live

That looks like you have a 3 phase supply cable BUT only 1 phase is currently wired up, so you'd need to change your meter for a 3 phase one.

  12. Wonder what the cost would be to change from single to three phase?

Bit of how long is a pice of string question, if you have a overhead supply with a pole close to your house possibly under £1000, but if they have to start digging up the street the cost will start to get silly.

But It costs nothing to ask.
