No no, I am having no problems with my arc inverter, but I want to learn about tig before buying things.Curious question.
Are you having issues striking an arc with tig ? With argon ?
If you stick it on MMA, you referring to arc welding ?
Explain your problem please.
I know, but those using scratch start say that they have no problem with starting an arc. Many TIG welders have HF start, which imposes a high voltage, low current source, onto the welding electrode. This makes for easy starting, as the high voltage will allow a spark to jump across the gap when the tungten is held near the workpiece, which then initiates the high current arc. Normally MMA welders don't have the HF start facility, so repurposing one for TIG would require scratch start to get the arc going.
OCVDoes it depends on the tungsten? Or on the sharp tip? And if had to put tungsten on a MMA stick welder with argon gas, would it be the same?
is everything clean with a good return? warm sticks can help tooo.I know, but those using scratch start say that they have no problem with starting an arc.
