I have got my eye on a second hand MIG welder but cannot find any information about it so I am seeking some help.
First, before I commit myself to spending real money I need to find out if I can get service parts for it. I understand Wolf do not make welders any more (is that correct?) or that they were taken over by AEG.
I suspect that quite a few bits can be utilised as general service parts ie tips, shrouds etc. It's the unique Wolf parts that could be a future problem. Is there a known source of spares?
Apart from the one word Wolf in the very slim (not very helpful) manual the only other I/D I can find is MIG250. There is no name 'Wolf' on the machine panels but one panel has the word 'Giant'.
Can anyone give me some info on this welder? Is it good, bad or indifferent? Is it worth buying? How old is it? Finally, how much is it worth, it looks very clean?
I am intending to use it for car panel work (floors and inner wings) and outrigger replacement. Will the current go low enough for sheet metal work?
Any help would be much appreciated.
