Hi people, new to the site and need some info and this looks like the place to be.
Anyway, im new to welding, done a bit of arc in the past but thats about it. My car needs some work on it, mainly the sills, need to patch up a few holes and last year i paid for someone to do all my sills, and they done a pretty poor job. So i thought i would just get myself a welder, have a bit of a practice and do it myself.
Im after getting a mig welder, but there are so many makes out there i dont know what to go for. I dont want some cheapo make what will break down after 5 mins. I was thinking of a clarke or sealy, no gas/gas one, but what sort of model should i go for? bearing in mind the main thing it will be used for is on the car, thin metal. Got upto £150 to spend and been looking on ebay to pick up a 2nd hand one but just not 100% sure on what to go for.
Any help will be much appreciated.
