Hi, I'm currently restoring a series 1 106 rallye and also carrying out some repairs on an even rustler 106 rallye.
On the 106 I have used a poly carbide disc on the original underseal and any surface rust, then treated the entire area with rust converter 123, loading up all seals and seams, digging the brush behind where possible. I have then put on two coats of epoxy mastic ensuring I load up all seals and seams. After these coats I have applied tigerseal around all metal joins and around the bottom where the metal joins. I then plan to give it a good luck coating of epoxy mastic. I have a question however...
Would it be advisable to spray some kind of stone chip (rubberised stuff) on top of the epoxy mastic, which is technically a primer, and then body colour on top?
Any advice
Alan
