Hi, i am repairing/rebuilding a tractor pick up hitch after it broke the other day.
The main lifting bar/pin snapped after a pin was sandwiched between the hitch and the underside of the tractor.
The main pin that broke did not bend at all, it just snapped.
Anyone got any ideas what steel this should be made from? EN8 EN16 or something else ???
Whilst i have it apart i want to renew the bushes and pins in the rest of the hitch, what type of steel should these be made from? The bushes are softer than the pins, if that's any help.
Sorry for the paint drawings, i hope you get the idea.
Thanks in advance
