I’m not sure if this is the best place for this query but I’ll put it here anyway.
I have some damaged Euros and I want to make a money tree. I’m only going to be using what scrap I have which in this case are some mild steel rods for the ‘trunk’ and ‘branches’. The Euros will be the ’leaves’ at the end of each branch.
My question is, as these are 2 dissimilar metals am I better off brazing the coins to the branches? If so, what filler would be best for this? I have an Oxy-propylene set up with a heavy duty torch.
Or, can I mig weld this using standard steel mig wire, on a low setting?
Any advice would be great as it would be good to have this done before Christma.
thank you
