"I'll have two lengths of your finest 2 by 2 box section, to be delivered, my good man."
They arrived with a clang today. I went around the front to move them to the end of the building and near did my back in lifting them. Quite a surprising amount of weight in a full length of box.
I'm just making a simple bench to fit in the corner. About 7ft x 2ft6", I think. It's all very up in the air at the moment, as I'm undecided whether to make it fixed to the wall or put it on wheels (or at very least, make it moveable, ie, unbolted).
I'd better not make it as high as my normal bench, because much as I try to avoid bending over with a bad back, if it's too high it becomes a bit awkward trying to get right into something to weld it.
Not sure what to make the top from - a series of box sections, or angle, or something else. Solid plate isn't available locally.
