The upstairs toilet (just toilet, not sink or bath) makes a bad water hammer when it comes to the end of the tank fill. Could this be due to a poor valve or cutoff in the cistern? It's a built in cistern.
There is a water pump that possibly makes the hammer worse. I traced the pipes from the pump in the airing cupboard (upstairs) into the loft and they are not fixed down. But surely if that was the issue it would hammer on taps both upstairs and downstairs too?
Any suggestions to help or recommend a good plumber to investigate in Gloucester? I'm not convinced there is even a need for the pump on the cold side.
