Ok I'm not to clued up tbh havnt looked to in depth on manifoldsDarkside any many others do offer an after market GGG cast iron manifold for my van but the problem is the ports are slightly smaller and I doubt you would get to the back runners to port out.
They are intended for standard engines really, they also do a GTB turbo kit with manifold but that's about 3k and to be honest I doubt it would make much more power than I currently have without doing head work and cam as that's the next restriction.
Regarding Pendle all I am going to say is he did my first remap and then I got my money back and went elsewhere.
The later OE VW cast manifold sits the turbo in a slightly different place due to a different oil flange arrangement on the back of the block, because of this it can't be modified to fit the earlier engine, if you saw both manifolds side by side you would agree it's a no go.
I've also got an atego with OM906LA engine. They came with the single cast manifold, but this part has been superseded, and if you order a replacement from Merc in now comes in three pieces. Mine snapped a bolt on Cylinder 6, but no cracks thankfully.
