I can't get a bead started.
Setup:
Intro: My 17 year old son and I love working on cars. I have a '84 Porsche 911 and my son has a '91 Nissan 240sx. We are new to welding. I have read "Advanced Automotive Welding" by Uttrachi. I have also read "welding for Dummies" which is a waste of money.

Setup:
- Campbell Hausfeld WG3000 MIG (110V input, 55 to 85 amps out)
- Wire: 308L 0.030 inch (0.8 mm)
- Gas: 75/25 Argon CO2 at 20 CFH (10 LPM)
- Material: Stainless car header (exact grade unknown). The thickness will be approx 1.5 mm thick (16 gauge).
