Hello all,
Newbie to this forum and to the world of MIG welding but i would be very greatful of any advice.
A friend of mine has a BOC Transmig 110 mig welder that has sat in his garage for the past few years. It looks clean and in good nick, with a flow regulator etc (but no gas)
I am about to start building a kit car and hence have been on the look out for a welder. He wants £100 for it.
Does this seam a good deal ?. I know the welder is old (1970's ????) but is it suitable for a begineer like me ? Is there anything that i need to look out for ? (as i guess spares are hard to come by). OR am i best to spend a little more and get a new welder from the likes of machine mart etc...?
Cheers
Tris
