Hi all, I'm new here but just wanted to say what a great forum this is, have been a long time lurker prior to a few days ago!
Recently found myself in possession of a Murex Tradesmig 165. Other than needing a clean up seems to be in good working order.
Quick test results in everything seeming to work but after trigger is released if torch is grounded there is a small arc. Quick look on here and thanks to some really detailed previous threads has me thinking, poor earth clamp/lead or contactor problem/missing bleed resistor causing caps to retain charge.
So after isolating the machine and discharging the caps (thanks Mike for detailing the procedure in an earlier thread) I open her up. Other than needing a clean out all seems to look good until I see this little chap!

So now looks defiantly to be the lack of a bleed resistor to discharge the caps causing my problem.
Taking a very close look at the contactor it seems the resistor should be wired between terminals 22 & 32 on the (in fact I think I can see the remains of the resistor legs still in place) but as the wiring diagram is not clear as day (to me anyway) could anyone advise me if they think this is correct? It would be greatly appreciated, would rather be sure rather than blow up my new but not so shiny machine

Many thanks
