Yeah it's a buddy tig but it's still in guaranteeIf it was mine and I was serious about doing a proper job I’d go 2 pin amphenol and change the socket.
This is a buddy tig right?? It’s not an expensive posh plug on those. Esab use the 2 pin amphenol for there posh stuff just like the old murex ones. Easy to change, lots of space to put that socket in on the front and a quality plug.
I like quality plugs. I don’t like ones that don’t seat nice and firm or feel floppy. I love these for basic 2 wire switches. They ain’t cheap but they are quality.
It wasn't a cheap machine at £600Xcalibur machines use the same plug, javac, flama, some thermal arc,and loads of other rebranders of cheap chinese machines.
they are very flimsy
That’s not an expensive machine. The top line esab dc model caddy2200i ta34 would of been another grand on top.It wasn't a cheap machine at £600
It's a lot for me I'm saving for a acdc from my local at the minuteThat’s not an expensive machine. The top line esab dc model caddy2200i ta34 would of been another grand on top.
Go AC/DC and you could put another 2 grand on top.
It is a good little welder it does everything I want it to my tig torch came today it seems quite flexible I've put some pictures of it with the cable bentThose little buddy’s do produce the goods mind. Nice little machine to weld with
It's actually not rubber the first two foot of its leather then the rest is rubberYeah I saw it. A nice upgrade to that would be to strip it of that rubber sheath and replace it with a leather or nylon one. It will double its flexibility and half its weight.
They are very cheap to produce, and very cheap to buy if not yellow or wine.well the wine of xcalibur used to be cheap until the main uk importer pulled the plug to concentrate on JasicIt wasn't a cheap machine at £600
I agree with you Servo can supply their equivalent which is the DMS version, just as good!!!I tended to use a company called Servoconnector for Amphenol plugs/sockets as they were generally cheaper than RS and definitely cheaper than the welder manufacturer spares prices.
Would the upgrade have a certificate of conformity, has it been tested for fire.Yeah I saw it. A nice upgrade to that would be to strip it of that rubber sheath and replace it with a leather or nylon one. It will double its flexibility and half its weight.
Leather won’t burn.Would the upgrade have a certificate of conformity, has it been tested for fire.
