No more risk working with molten lead and possible moisture in sandstone am I reading that correctly?I used to hate walls like that until I decided to buy a good core drill and lead the posts in, it initially scared me off thinking it was a lot of extra work but it's so much easier, you get the chance for a lot of adjustment before pouring and a good core drill is no more of a risk than drilling 4 holes.
You could use resin in place of lead and avoid all the blood tests. Risk of moisture explosions etc
Heritage work excepted of course
