Anyone with experience of time lapse video have any recommendations for software, preferably free or not very expensive. I'd like to do a time lapse of my chassis build.
Possibly, or to compile footage captured on a CCTV type setup (which I have spare) captured at an extremely slow frame rate . Having not done time lapse before I am on a little learning curve, so any advice on setup welcome.
Essentially you take a shot from a fixed location a certain number of times per day. Once complete, you stitch the images together using software to make whatever format you want.
For a CCTV setup, you'll need a capture card to bring in the data. Unless digital or a webcam etc. Software wise, a very basic Linux server running motion will do all of what you want. Heck, even a cron job hooked to a block device would work.
