Ok Ok, I know this qualifies for a dose of I told you so but Ive been pushing my watercooled tig torch a mite too hard (like 200amps) with no watercooling and melted the water/power lead up to the torch at the torch end.
Ive stripped the torch back and removed the brass tails at the end and cut them off the mangled bit of lead, and by lopping off 50cm im back to good solid wire/tube and its still about 4.5m long. But that tail which carries the water and power to the torch is crimped on and inside the outer its crimped to the copper lead inside toothe neatest thing I could do would be to get a replacement tail and recrimp the new one rather than trying to reuse the old one, if its possible. Or butchery it will have to be...
So, anyone know where I can buy just the tail to redo the lead? I can redo the collars etc myself or get the local hydraulics place to do it in their machine, but its the tail with a inner wire connector inside thats going to be awkward to find.
