Hi folks,
As a relatively noob yank (especially on aluminum), I first would like to thank everyone for the very useful info on this forum. I've been blowing holes in a lot of aluminum scrap as I've tried to improve my "skills", and the tutorials and forum advice has helped a lot. My latest problem is my welder has decided to quit working, just making a periodic small hiss of a spark and then nothing. this is disconcerting since I was given another one of those DC Tig, plasma cutter, stick welder combo machines and attempts to use the Tig on that unit on steel yielded the same behavior (even though the other functions still worked). I have been using my current DC/AC TIG unit for a few months and all of a sudden it's started the same behavior. I'm hoping this is not terminal!
Thanks for any help!
Jack
