Nice gesture. If it wasn't the weekend before my wedding i'd offer to go and check it out for you, somerton isn't far from Frome... i'm totally flat out though.
Damn... you could have sent it to me for test and I would onwards ship for you or return to somerton. Damn shame these things all happen at the same time! Flat out at work, gearbox to do on the transit, wedding ring to finish making...
Don't worry yourself Hugh just focus on the big day.Damn... you could have sent it to me for test and I would onwards ship for you or return to somerton. Damn shame these things all happen at the same time! Flat out at work, gearbox to do on the transit, wedding ring to finish making...
Send it to me first if hugh can't do it then Cover the onward postage to Spain and I'll happily forward it on the boat for ya. Up to you.
Get it sent to me then mate and I'll test it out for you and give you my opinion on it. At least this way if it is faulty it will be a dam site cheaper and quicker to send it back from mine. Pm me if you want to arrange.Don't worry yourself Hugh just focus on the big day.
It would be great to know the machine is working well, at least all the all the rubbish welding will be down to user error.
I can arrange all the shipping via my DHL account all you would need to do is print the label and tell me when is a good time for them to collect.
More problems with the Orange box?
@poxxxyThank you for the pictures Arthur, I missed out on that old EWM. If i'd of seen that i'd of been pretty damn tempted!
My 2 new PCB's were collected today and I discovered the AUX PSU PCB is slightly different to the service manual pics... but it is the same as your AUX PSU PCB in the pictures. . I was unsure on which DCIN to use out of the two but I had got it right after all. Traced correct routes on the rest of the cables and they are all ready to go. I will need to secure the PCB's down somehow as it looks like 6-8 of the retainers had been sliced off with a knife rather than just removing the glue.
Tom at Telford Welding Supplies has been awesome in sourcing the PCB's for me and helping out with torch and pedal. I decided to get a genuine Thermal Arc torch for this... although most of my accessories are all for a WP9 valved torch that I've been getting along with. I will have to hook up a switch on there I guess!
Now I am waiting on a length of cable to arrive, after ordering 3 meters of 10mm conductor size by mistake... a little heavy duty!
I also need to find a compatible quick connect adapter for the inert gas inlet, quick connect I picked up today doesn't fit unfortunately as the internal diameter is a little too small. If anyone has any clues on that? That and a length of hose between my argon regulator and said adapter once found. Then it will be time to turn the switch on and get ready to run!
