Hi all,
I recently bought a used thermal arc 180 ac/dc TIG/MMA welder from an auction knowing that it had some kind of problem so i snapped the bid at only £18 so i couldn't argue knowing the retail is over £900, i have put a new power cable on it as it had been cut by the auctioneer (their default process for electrical appliances that cant be tested) and put an mma torch on it and earth lead as it is the only dinse torch that i have (it didn't come with any torches, leads or a foot pedal). The machine turns on perfectly fine and all lights and buttons on the digital control panel work fine but it just wont put out any current whatsoever on mma mode . I knew i would have to fix something but i thought it was worth a gamble if it turns out relatively cheap to fix (circa £200).
Any thoughts guys ?
Phil
