First time Ive seen that lad. Didnt seem to know much about what he was looking at….That carb is a bit of a strange one. I wondered if it might be to aid starting, but I can't think why it shoukd.
You should have tried the 16 ply ones that came with my Sandringham 6x6. Almost broke the tyre fitters machine, then they found it had military banding on the inside.I saw a 109 kitted out for desert work (I had to change the 12 ply tyres on a manual tyre changer, well, tried and failed) so I reckon that this thing has been all over Africa or somewhere similar.
