Hi All,
I've been lurking here for a while since my local welder person has retired and I decided that perhaps I should learn to weld. Having bumped into Doubleboost on you-tube and his R-Tech reviews I took a look at the equipment. Better still, R-Tech are only 15 miles away so I spent half a day with Joe who took me through all the setup and then onto my first ever TIG weld bead. I have to say thanks to Joe and the R-Tech team for really looking after my colleague and I on that day. And also to John (doubleboost) whose you-tube channel is addictive.
That was back in September 2014 so I waited until I upgraded the garage electrics and now have a dedicated 16amp feed just for the welder.
Now that R-Tech have a 7.5% spring sale on this week, it was time to finally purchase that TIG.
So what am I going to build?
Launch racks for Fireworks. Pictures to follow but for the last 16 years all my racks are made of wood and the launch tubes are cardboard. I've slowly started moving across to metal racks and fibreglass tubes and as all the racks are simple right angle square tube welds, I hope I can do this myself.
Regards
