A little job over the last few days, make a lid for this mixing vessel, its a metre in diameter bigger than the picture makes it appear, the customer needs to load it with dry product such as sugars and salt in 25kg bags so it needs to be robust
I should have taken a few more photos of the process but got a bit carried away making it, here the welding is well underway, the top is 2mm 316 stainless, the rim is 40 x 3 flat rolled round, the hatch is 100 x 3 flat
The 10mm bars are to carry the weight of the bag,
The finished job, with hinged hatch cover, all external welds polished out, round the hatch and inside its fused without filler to reduce bug traps
A loose 1" grid made from weldmesh with a frame from 8mm round sits on top of the bars, this makes sure that larger clumps of product get broken up for easier mixing
