Morning all,
I have got a couple of metre long sections of the above (1" x 3"), to which I have welded in a series of studs as shown.
The heat of the welding has slightly bowed the section along its length and I want to try and get it back straight as much as possible.
I have utilised a milling machine and a set of parallels as shown, but even deflecting the channel the other way by quite a significant amount (~5-6mm or so on the Z axis), the section still springs back to how it was before.
Would the application of some heat aid this process? has anyone successfully done anything similar?
Thanks in advance
Dave
