Still on this job, got the fan conneced last week.
Head a few scary moments where it looked like it wouldn't fit!!
Not a lot of spare room to play with.
A bit difficult to see the size, but the fan housing comes up to my shoulders.
This is sort of part of the same long running job. Been doing this last couple of days, ductwork is on the backburner at the moment.
They already had the stainless tank, but its final position, on a stand about 2.5m high caused it to run into the auger tube that will be feeding it. So decided to step the top.
As well as that, i had to remove the existing output casing, and replace with a steel auger tube.
Eventually, there will be a water cooled bit on the end again, which goes directly into the incinerator.
To save the lifting eyes and the flange around the top, i just cut a section out in the middle, and just butt welded the plate back together.
Not welding too bad with that Selco plant, Innomaxx2 and 347 wire.
Auger tube is 8mm mild steel, top flanges punched, folded then the radius section step bent on the press brake.
One end came out a bit over bent, due to some badly abused press tooling Came back out fairly easily.
