I was under the impression that the red thumbscrew on top of the gun was for roller tension, and for loading new wire when you push it.
The thumbscrew just spins on my gun so I've took it apart to have a look....is it possible this is ONLY for loading new wire and no adjustment for the roller tension possible (automatic maybe?) Unless there's something missing I can't see how turning the red thumbscrew could affect anything.
Reason I'm investigating this is trouble getting stainless wire to feed smoothly, the reel I'm using wasn't new (borrowed) so is uncoiling springing all over the place....are you supposed to not let it uncoil at all on a new roll?
Cheers
